A Fun Full day of Motivating Reading with Magic

A school in the western Minneapolis Suburbs had our magic shows today – 4 of them. What a blast. The kids were great and they laughed a lot.  They also left filled with the excitement of reading this summer.

The teacher that hired me sent a very nice thank you card that included the comments, “You are fabulous! Your show enthralled the students and your words encouraged them to read. As we left your show the students were talking enthusiastically about the marvel of magic. Thanks for the wonderful show!”

My passion is to motivate young readers. I also like to encourage them to study and do their best in school. Kids who go to the library and read during the summer come back to school in the Fall ready to learn.  Reading helps them in so many ways.  The goal of my program is to get kids excited about going to the library and reading!

Kids will have so much fun as they learn about new things. They will find books on hobbies, animals, sports, science, famous people and jobs. They will also find books filled with adventure and mystery.

Minnesota Author at Library in Wisconsin

Tomorrow, May 18th. is book signing and showtime in Wisconsin for Minnesota Author and comic magician, Magic Norm. I will present my comedy magic show for the families at the library.  this will be my 6th time here over the past 25 years.  I am grateful that they invite me back and am thrilled that they like the program.

This magic and comedy show motivate youngsters to get excited about reading.  Many topics are covered such how reading helps with hobbies, interests and jobs.  Kids and parents leave the show with a greater appreciation for how reading helps in everyday life and is just plain fun.

If we can get students excited about reading, they will do well and achieve in all the subjects they work on in school. The goal of the library show is to encourage students to read all summer and to visit the library as often as possible.

Earlier today, I spoke and presented my reading program at a school in Rochester, MN. I enjoy  presenting my motivational magic show and encouraging the students.  Today was my 7th or 8th time at this school over the past 25 years. I am glad that they appreciate the quality and enjoy the important message.

I was the original reading motivational magic show in Minnesota. I put together this program and developed the magic tricks to go with it over 30 years ago.  Since then it has gone through many changes as I add new material.  I now have three different motivational magic shows for kids.  Since then I have enjoyed bringing the show to students and teachers at schools and libraries in all fifty states.

I love to see the smiles and amazement that the comedy magic brings, but I also very much enjoy seeing students get excited about reading.

Fun with Staff Development

Yesterday was a very fun afternoon as I presented my motivational speech and facilitated for a professional group. The program began with my motivational magical presentation on Teamwork and Service and then we had a longer session on the value of humor in the workplace.

The second part is a lively presentation on the value of humor in the workplace for stress release, team building, communication and having a healthy and positive attitude. I led many exercises that involve improvisation techniques and get the participants up and involved in a fun and non-threatening way. We covered listening skills, quick thinking, and trust issues. This is also a time for lots of laughter and laughter is a wonderful team building tool.

The event finished with an exercise I developed that I call, the award ceremony where the participants use their creative skills to give fun and funny awards to others in the group. This part of the program is filled with laughter and yet it is also touching as many gave heartfelt appreciation to others on their team.

I was thrilled to hear the positive feedback from the participants after the presentation.

Your business or professional group may need a positive pick me up as they find the benefits of humor in the workplace with this motivational keynote and breakout session.   I’d love to bring this fun team building presentation to your staff. Check it out at inspire.aces-show.biz
