Magicians in Minneapolis

Sunday Night Magic ge

Norm with   Noah Sonie, Suzanne the Magician  and Magic Brad

In March I had the great pleasure of performing with several of the top magicians in Minneapolis.  We had as much fun as the crowd did.
Noah’s Magic is cool and amazing as his smooth style gracefully presented some powerful tricks.   Magic Brad brought his classic vanishing bottle trick along with some other great comedy tricks.  Suzanne did a new trick that had the audience wondering in amazement. I was honored to close the show with a nice results.  The audience laughed at the comedy tricks.

There was a nice turn out at this program that was a Theater in the Round in Down Town Minneapolis.  A very nice venue with every seat being a good one!

It is fun to bring comedy and entertainment to parties and events in the Twin Cities.

Magician in Minneapolis

Thank you again Sibley High School

I enjoyed returning to Sibley High School in Mendota Hts, MN again for their fund raising day. They have a whole day set aside for students to raise funds by going to fun events.  700 students came to my program yesterday morning and it was fun to do the show at the nice theater with excellent lights and sound. Many kids came up and raved about how much they enjoyed it.

“Thank you so much for coming and putting on such a great show! The kids were talking about it all day! We appreciate it!!”

Athena Gause – Henry Sibley High School Student Council Advisor

Last time I was here for the special day of activities the students raised over $18,000 for the charities they were supporting.  I hope this year will be a good. It seemed to be on track to do as well or better.

I love to make people of all ages laugh. How can I bring comedy entertainment to your next event.

All ages Enjoy Comedy Magic

Two weeks back I did four shows on one day.

The morning magic show was for the school aged child care at the Salvation Army in St. Paul. The director said the show was wonderful and the kids had a great time. It was evident by their faces throughout the show. I like that look of startled amazement that happens after one of the tricks catches the person by surprise.  Magic is amazing.

Later that same day I did three programs for elderly at the Ecumen Parmly Life Points senior care center. These folks were so fun. Many were dressed up in their Halloween hats. They enjoyed joining in and being a part of the show. They remember the classic TV variety shows such as Ed Sullivan, Sonny and Cher, the tonight Show with Johnny Carson. On those programs many variety performers such as myself brought laughs to audiences across America.  So they really enjoy seeing the the comedy and amazing magic tricks in person.

Most of these residents were in wheelchairs, and that is no problem as I brought the tricks right to them. I would pass out ropes to be examined before one stunt, or I would have them hold props and even one is decked out with a star covered cape and magic top hat and then becomes the magician for the vanishing bottle trick. It is very fun, and I love to see the smiling faces and hear the laughter as the tricks unfold. One trick they all enjoyed participating in was when I strolled through the crowd and pulled silver dollars from their ears and elbows.  I enjoyed seeing their gasps of amazement as I filled my bucket with coins.

All ages enjoy seeing a comedy magic show in St. Paul or Minneapolis.  I always have such a happy feeling as I leave a show.  So many people come up after to say it was great.  I just do my best and strive for excellence. For the younger children’s shows, I stand by the exit as the children leave the show and wave goodbye and give them a souvenir from the show. It is fun to see their smiling faces as they say, “Wow, how did you do that?” “my favorite trick was when you…” or “That was so cool.”

For the senior groups I love to walk through the audience and say goodbye to each person. Their faces light up and they offer such nice compliments.  I want them to know I appreciate them and that I was glad when they helped with the various tricks. I’ll ask, “How did you make that scarf disappear? Or, how did you make that newspaper trick work?”  I want everyone at the senior care facility to know that they are special and yet some how they pour their kindness and love back on me and I leave feeling great.

The director of activities at Parmly Care Center wrote a nice letter a week later.

“Thank you so much! I heard some rave reviews!!” – Shannon Y.

Tonight I do my third appearance over the past 6 years for the Senior Group at Saint Alphonsus Church in Brooklyn Center. I look forward to it as they are so much fun.

Last weekend I did a regular adult audience for a school fund raiser. 350-400 adults laughing at the comedy magic is my favorite sound.  I look forward to bringing comedy and fun to your special event in Minnesota. I bring Comedy entertainment to Holiday parties and company banquets. MagicNorm.com

Minnesota Magician back from Performing at Convention in Nevada

It is good to be home in Minnesota, yet it was a lot warmer in Nevada.

I presented three workshops at a convention in Nevada and then did my comedy magic act for their evening show. This is the second time That they have invited me to be their featured performer and guest lecturer.

They wrote:

“We at the WRCA highly recommend the vast entertaining talents of Norm Barnhart.  We have engaged his talents several times and will consider doing so again.  He is also an insightful teacher and very popular with our conventioneers.  You will be hard pressed to find a finer entertainer anywhere.”

Magic in Wisconsin for Holiday Parties

This month I have had 4 company banquets in Wisconsin.  There are some great companies working hard and have good years. They want to reward their staff with a nice dinner and a show along with door prizes and contests.

A company banquet brings people together and builds the team spirit.  When we laugh together we connect.  Laughter is good medicine and I am happy to be of service bringing comedy to corporate banquets and special events.

Check out the comments from corporate audiences on the magic show.  I am from Minnesota and also enjoy being a comedy magician in Wisconsin.

Marsh Productions for Corporate Parties & Events

Marsh and his premier group The R Factor

Marsh Productions is a full service entertainment agency that does a fabulous job bringing together the right mix of entertainers for Corporate events.

This week I enjoyed working with Marsh again, He set up a number of attractions and comedy acts for a major Minnesota Company Holiday Party. This Company formed a little over 10 years ago and has a very successful run. The owners gave their employees an extra special  party.

The event was held at the lovely Grand Ballroom of Mystic Lake Casino. This was a beautiful place to host an event and the staff here really pull out the stops to put on a lovely meal including martini class salads, build your own potato bar and an excellent ice cream bar.

Marsh brought in two comedians who  had the audience in stitches. He also set up 4 character artists who gave the guests fun portraits.  I enjoyed strolling through the crowd and doing table to table magic for the guests. It is fun for me to see the looks of amazement as the guests participate in the interactive magic and comedy.

Thank you Marsh for inviting me to be a part of another excellent event. marshproductions.com
